In Punta Mita, north of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast, existing resorts are
adding high-end fractional residence components. New Fractional construction is
also under way there, with others in the planning stage. In Playa del Carmen, on
the Riviera Maya, a two-project timeshare development is also underway. This is
the Mexico that travelers dream about. The 90-odd miles of unspoiled beaches between
Puerto Morelos and Punta Allen (running through Playa del Carmen and Tulum) are
the country at its most beautiful.
